James Tomkins Garage Ltd is a family run business established in 1995. After qualifying as a motor mechanic James in the summer of 1995 decided to set up his own business from his garage at the back of the family home. After building up a great customer base he went on to purchase an old garage at the top of Gorey town. Thankfully business went well for James and continued to go from strength to strength.
The garage has since been transformed into a state of the art ten bay car workshop and a thirteen car showroom complete with indoor hand over area. Our workshop is one of the busiest in the town with six full time technicians and also a large parts department. We are equipped to carry out service and repairs to all makes and models.
We are also one of the biggest recovery agents serving all of Leinster and nationwide if so required. We of course operate a 24/7 service. We have eight recovery vehicles and this helps us to deal with every situation and type of vehicle. We work for many insurance companies including, Allianz, Axa, RAC, AA and many more.
We have been main Suzuki dealers since the end of December 1999 and have won dealer of the year for both parts and sales on many occasions. This we feel is a reflection of hard work and team work.
We have a fantastic staff that works well together.
We signed with Citroen in June 2018 and are looking forward to get going with Citroen and feel the brand will be a big draw to our business. With the excellent models and a range of vans it is going to broaden our customer base. As you know Gorey is now less than one hour form Dublin with the construction of the latest section of bypass which bring you straight past Bray into south Wicklow and north Wexford area we are on the border of Carlow which puts us in the middle of an excellent catchment area.
